Resistance and withstanding is one of the topics that has been discussed in the literature of various nations and ethnic groups for a long time and many literary works have been written in this field, but withstanding poems have found a special appearance in the last century.

the manifestation of contemporary resistance literature is in countries that have been directly influenced by the colonial governments of the West and have suffered great losses.

Tawfiq Ziad (1929-1994), a contemporary Arab poet, is one of the poets whose resistance literature has a special expression.

the struggle of Palestinian people against Israeli occupiers and internal traitors gave the poet a rich and fertile ground in dealing with resistance literature themes.

the present study tries to analyze the themes of the poet's poems on resistance.

the method in this article is descriptive-analytical and has been done in a library method in collecting data.

patriotism, invitation to struggle, praise of martyrdom, are among the most important poet's themes in composing resistance poems.

the obtained results are presented in the end in the form of a comparative table.
