However, the wave of democratic transformation in Algeria coincided with the post-goldwar period and related to political and constitutional reforms to reform the institutions of the political system, economic stagnation and social deterioration.

The political reforms in Algeria remain aimed at consolidating democracy, establishing the rule of law and building a new Algeria with the principles of good governance and fighting corruption.
