Abstract EN

This study examined the inter-complementarity relationship between the growth of the monetary mass and the fluctuations of inflation rates in Algeria during the period 1980-2019.

For this purpose, we relied on the ARDL model in order to try to understand and explain the nature of the economic relationship between some variables (mass Cash, GDP growth rate, official exchange rate) and inflation rates.

The study concluded that the joint integration test demonstrated the existence of a long-term relationship between the selected variables and inflation rates in Algeria during the study period.

Inflation in Algeria is considered inflation not only monetary, but rather due to structural reasons and external factors such as imported inflation
