The subject of (Al-Washim) novel is the political fall because it manipulates the actual state of sixties in Iraq which witnessed the violence and bloody conflicts among the different political forces, the succession of coups and revolutions, multiple political changes, and the persecutions and political repression which results in loss and collapse and political fall in addition to the denied of thousands of young people.

It specifically follows the main personality which reflects at the same time experience of hundreds of young people at that period.
