التغطية الإعلامية لرياضات الخاصة بالأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة في البرامج التليفزيونية المتخصصة و صفحات الفيسبوك : دراسة مقارنة

Abstract EN

Taking into consideration the various sports played by persons with a disability as well as their participations in the various global and international sporting-related activities, the problem of this research was to evaluate media coverage of these activities in traditional (specialized sporting TV programs) and new (specialized sporting Facebook pages) mass media, to shed light on the negative aspects of this coverage.

The study also sought to compare the methods adopted by TV and Facebook for discussing disabled-related sports topics.

The research adopted a descriptive approach based on survey through conducting a content analysis of a special TV program (Challenge Champions) on Nile Sport channel.

A Facebook disability-related sports page named the Egyptian Paralympic Committee was also analyzed.
