Abstract EN

The study aimed to define the contribution of extra-curricular school social activities in enhancing the national identity for female-students in secondary school and provide some suggestions to improve these activities in enhancing the national identity for the students.

This study is descriptive approach-based and adopted social survey applying systematic simple random sampling.

The original population was 1360, and a simple random sample has been selected (N=33) as per statistical equation.

To this end, a questionnaire has been administered for the female secondary schools in Badayea province in.

KSA Face and internal validity were calculated.

Correlation coefficients were statistically significant at the significant level (.01), indicating a strong correlation between each statement with the the total scores of the whole section.

Findings also revealed high reliability for all the sections of the questionnaire, reaching .812.

indicating that the possibility of generalization of the study findings.

The most important findings of the currents study were that social activities programs contributed to the development of the pride of female students in the position of Saudi Arabia among countries.

These activities have also contributed in enhancing the sense of responsibility towards homeland.

One of the most prominent suggestions was to diversify the programs of social activities, and to activate the trips for students properly.

The study has concluded that the level of contributions of extra-curricular school social activities in enhancing national identity based on the responses of secondary school students in Al-Badai’a governorate is high.

The study has also provided many suggestions to enhance national identity at school, family and community levels.
