Abstract EN

E-learning has witnessed qualitative breakthroughs in recent decades due to ICT, and it has resulted new and non-traditional teaching methods in university education.

The problem of the study is the extent to which this technology is used in the departments and colleges of media and communication in general ; especially , as these technological changes have been reflected in the scientific curricula, training courses and media applications, and it is hoped that all these changes will be reflected positively on the quality of educational outputs and the generation of media with the necessary skills in the labour market.

The study aims to answer the following main question: what is the reality and future of e-learning in media studies from the point of view of media students in the UAE? The researcher relied on the descriptive approach through a questionnaire tool to a sample of students of faculties and sections of media in Abu Dhabi totalling 165 participants, and the study concluded several results: • The overall technical difficulties faced by media students in Abu Dhabi faculties were somewhat low.

• There are obvious technical difficulties facing students which is how to use The MOODLE system.
