Abstract EN

This study explores the extent to which Saudi youth adapts socially and occupationally in the Transformation Program jobs based on Saudi vision 2030.

It also investigates if there are significant differences in social and occupational adaptation by personal variables, namely, gender, educational level, and monthly salary.

To this end, the researcher uses the descriptive method based on a sampling procedure that represents the study population.

Data was collected using a researcher-developed 32-item questionnaire groping four dimensions of adaptation.

Statistical analysis of data revealed that adaptation of Saudi youth in the Transformation Program jobs was moderate, M=3.36.

With reference to individual dimensions, personal and social adaptation of Saudi youth proved to be high, whereas their economic and occupational adaptation proved to be moderate.

Participants highly agreed to all items of barriers to adaptation.

The study concluded that lack of strong adaptation among Saudi youth in the Transformation Program jobs is not due to personal and social factors, but to economic and occupational ones.

Significant differences were found in favor of females, holders of lower certificates and participants with higher monthly income.

Several recommendations based on results were made.
