Abstract EN

This is a research presented which has not been preceded, clarifying that which al Qaadi al Baidaawi in his explanation of the Qur'an titled "the lights of the revelation and the secrets of interpretation" agreed with az- Zamakshari in some of his Muatazilite views and critiqued it.

In it, Ahmed ibn Ali an-Noubi one of the scholars of the 11th century hijri gathered, remedied and critiqued the Muatazilite views in his writing taking from original written manuscripts, stating the source of all quotes as well the original source of the hadeeth and giving a biography of the personalities mentioned.

He also commentated on some of the issues in which he opposed the belief of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah.

A number of conclusions from the research were reached, the most important of which is how an-Noubi followed up and refuting the Muatazilite opinions al Baidaawi held whilst excusing him for falling into that due to either forgetfulness or due to a slip of the pen.

He gave importance to the quotes of a group of explanators of the Qur'an who agreed in their criticism of Baidaawi in that which he agreed with the Muatazilites.
