Abstract EN

Research Title: The paper centers around the saying of 'Uthmān bin ‘Affān –may Allaah be pleased with him- when the assassins entered his place and struck him with sword, he shielded himself from the sword with his hand and said: (It is verily the first hand to inscribe the Mufassal), including the explanation that this saying is a discernible pointer to the fact that the Noble Qur‘ān was actually written during the Makkan Era, among other related issues.

Research Objectives: Highlighting the indications of the saying of 'Uthmān bin ‘Affān–may Allaah be pleased with him- (It is verily the first hand to inscribe the Mufassal) to the fact that that the Noble Qur‘ān was actually written during the Makkan Era and the answer to all assumed objections to this, including the study of issues that follow these indications.

Research Methodology: Inductive, analytical and critical.

Significant Findings: Establishing the inscription of the Qur‘ān in Makkah.

Significant Recommendations: The imperative of giving attention to the reported sayings (Āthār) related to the inscription the Qur‘ān with and unfolding their indications and the study of issued related to them.
