Abstract EN

Hydromagnetic studies are extremely important in applied climate studies by finding the close relationship between climate and hydrology in a region and taking into account the geology and topography to show the extent of investing these natural gifts that God Almighty created.

The arid and semi-arid regions have natural potentials, especially the soil suitable for untapped cultivation due to the lack of water for the prevalence of the arid and semi-arid climate.

It is possible to provide enough water for the cultivation of those soils with some agricultural crops and to be flourish when establishing development projects.

For achieving this, if there are some necessary conditions for this in terms of (geology, terrain and rain).

As a water harvest that requires the establishment of a dam as it can be erected in several places due to the presence of strong limestone rocks in the proposed dam.

Furthermore, it can also be erected in several areas in the upper area of the valley, which gets Fluctuating rain from year to year.

The highest amount of rain reached in space stations was (177.3).

In 1982 (middle of the valley) and the lowest in 2019 was (5.1) mm in the downstream station.

Whereas in the earth station, the highest height reached (128.9) mm in Haditha station during the studied period and the lowest in the Ramadi station was (116) mm in the Ramadi station.

The factor that helps is the true length of the valley where it reached (352.8) km.

in which the length of elongation reached (0.24%).

This indicates that the basin tends to the rectangular shape, and the number of valleys reached (8224) valley in seven levels in a slope that generally ranges from (zero to 14) m in different places.

It is often from zero to (1.6) m.

Therefore, the valley was given strong feature in establishing the dams because one of its conditions was that the slope (5) m should not be adjacent.

From the above, it helped to apply the Berkeley equation to estimate the amount of surface runoff that reached more than (193) billion cubic meters in the valley estuary station.

In addition to that, the study area owns arable soil that can be invested.
