Abstract EN

Universities , like all other institutions in society, are also known as time – bound reforms to respond to priority goals.If the task of the universities is education and scientific research in the first place, it has a third and basic task that is no less valuable than the two previous tasks of « community service ».

Today, the university reform in Algeria has become a national consensus because it is an engine of development and the Algerian university faces multiple difficulties on all levels.If we look at the university in relation to the social sciences in Algeria, we find that it is far from what is happening in the rest of the world’s universities.It is also far from keeping pace with the social and political transformations in the country,so that is expected to intervene on the ground to find out and deal with the situation in the fields of political, economic and social life such as the governance and participation, housing, work, health, education, the environment, recreation, participation, housing, work, health, education, the environment, recreation, This article will show the positive and important role played by applied social sciences (sociology, anthropology, social service) in the economic and social development of contemporary contries.

In order to benefit and activate them in Algeria, effective measures should be taken as fallows: -Establhing strong bridges of communication and cooperation between the various institutions of the State and the University.

-Taking care of teaching applied social sciences in universities.

-Focus on applied scientific research to promote the community.
