Algeria is considered one of the first countries to have adapted its internal laws by enacting an independent anti-corruption law in 2006.

Moreover, the legislator strengthened it in accordance with the requirements of Presidential Decree 247-15 by creating the authority to control public procurement, granting it the inherent jurisdiction to oversee public deals, not to mention activating the role of some Other sectoral authorities.
