Abstract EN

This article aims to analyse the reality of sustainable tourism development and desert tourism in Algeria, as we know Algeria has the largest desert among the other countries leading to a favorable element of desert tourism, and they put a lot of effort in order to develop the tourism sector and reach the sustainable tourism development.

Through this study, we concluded that despite the resources that Algeria has, it is still classified the least attractive countries for foreign tourists.

We also found that the poor performance of the desert tourism in Algeria is mainly due to the information and communication technology weakness in tourism as a result of the inefficiency of websites.
