Abstract EN

This study aims to explain why tourism resources and attractors are important for success of competing tourist destinations, and to identify which of these factors is more decisive and influential on the choice of tourist destination decision, from the tourist perspective.

The paper also attempts to highlight the extent of these influences and their contribution to the destination competitiveness and attractiveness.

An empirical study has derived from Algerian tourist area.

Using individual survey questionnaires on local tourists and statistical techniques, an estimation of the importance and competitiveness of the Algerian tourist destination is pursued.
