Abstract EN

The research aims to evaluate the performance of the agricultural sector in Algeria through economic interdependence indicators using the Leontief model (1974/2018), and to ascertain the changes in the production structure, and the extent of the sector's ability to lead economic development.

The research found that the agricultural sector has an effective frontal pull force, as opposed to having a low back pull force, and that the primary effects are stronger than the secondary effects of the front and back lines of the sector.

The agricultural sector has also witnessed changes in the productive structure, and that it is no longer a pioneering sector according to the concept of total backlinks
