This research paper deals with the phenomenon of marital violence, by considering it a crime and how it is dealt with by the legislator on the one hand, and the extent of the punishment commensurate with the gravity of the act on the other hand.

This research studies the phenomenon by addressing the concept of marital violence and the reasons that motivate the husband to commit it.

Moreover, the study examines the issue of violence caused by the victim.
