Abstract EN

Forough Farrokhzad is one of the poets that all critics unanimously ranked her among top five current Iranian poems and many emphasize that she owes this honor to her last two verse collections.

Although many critics believe that her last two collections show her greatest ability in terms of oratory and thought, it is not fair to underestimate her previous works.

After analyzing all her collections, the author divides her works into three sections: The first one includes “The captive” and “The wall” that focus on the individuality of the poet herself without any creativity.

The middle one includes her third collection named “Rebellion” which can be considered as extraterrestrial because it changes Forough's language and thought although this change includes her raw thoughts and it is accompanied by rebellion and changes toward God.

Last section includes “Another Birth” and “Let us Believe in the Dawn of the Cold Season” in which her thought evolves and she composes them consciously and artistically.

Many articles and books have been published about Forough's poems but no study has been carried out to focus on her language and thought independently.
