The Arkoun project has been linked since its inception with the human tendency through which he tried to bypass previous classical philosophical perceptions and approaches that dominated the issues and problems of contemporary Arab and Islamic thought, and attempted to establish a humanistic philosophical thought based on understanding and studying the human phenomenon according to a realistic scientific approach, making man in the age of civilization prosperity appreciate the values of truth, goodness and beauty.

So dialogue and tolerance have formed an important message in strengthening communication and positive interaction with others.

In this article, we will try to analyze and discuss the concept of "humanism" and its intellectual and philosophical nature in adding the values of dialogue and tolerance to human societies according to the Algerian thinker Mohammed Arkoun, and to clarify the methodological mechanisms adopted by Arkoun in the rooting and theorizing of the religious text and its manifestations in human honor and its aesthetic and spiritual dimensions, the importance of the modernist project, the philosophy of dialogue and tolerance, and the critical position that he adopted and applied in the study of the current problems of man and society.
