Abstract EN

The aim of this study was to investigate the extent to which governance contributed to reducing the lack of symmetry of financial information at the ASE level using the latest standard techniques for data segmentation (PANEL), as well as through the use of the methodology of joint integration and causal tests.

Of the 10 listed institutions in the industrial and services sectors for 12 years (2004 to 2015).

The study concluded with a number of results, the most important of which is the possibility of governance to contribute to reducing the problem of information asymmetry Financial institutions in the Omani market, with the need to oblige the institutions of the study sample to the good application of the rules and principles of governance, especially the principle of disclosure and transparency.
