This paper aims to determine empirically the impact of interest rates on the Amman stock market performance, by using the Auto-Regressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) approach to annual time series data for the period 1990 to 2018.

The findings showed that there is a negative significant impact of the interest rates on the Amman stock market performance with a very high statistical significance during the period 1990-2018; which is consistent with the economic theory.
