Abstract EN

Libyan –Soviet relations were economic , commercial more than political based on mutual financial relations between both parties , not ideological harmony between two regimes, especially after the end of the momarchy with a military coup on Septempar 1st of the year 1969 and declaring of repulic with colonel Moamar Kadafi as president of Libya , the country adopted non-alignment policy specially mid 1970s .

Relations got tighter between both countries until the collapse and deconsrtcution of Soviet Union in 1990 to mark the beginning of a new phase of stiffness and cold relations between both countries
