لقد جاء هذا البحث لتوضيح الملامح الأساسية لأوضاع التعليم الرسمي في كركوك خلال الفترة (1870-1914)، حيث ركز البحث وفي البداية على محاولة الإصلاح التي جرت في الدولة العثمانية و تحديدا تلك التي تتعلق بالتعليم.
و افتقار هذه المدينة أسوة بباقي المدن العراقية إلى أية مدرسة رسمية (حكومية) حتى سبعينات القرن التاسع عشر، و على ضوء ذلك اقتصر التعليم قبل إقامة هذه المدارس على الكتاتيب والمدارس الدينية بالإضافة إلى مدارس الأقليات و الطوائف الدينية و التي ستشكل المبحث الأول من هذا البحث.
فيما شغل افتتاح المدارس الرسمية (رشدي) ابتدائي الحيز الأكبر من هذا البحث.
و إضافة على ذلك سيتطرق البحث إلى أبرز الصعوبات و السلبيات التي رافقت إنشاء مثل هكذا مدارس و التي أثرت بشكل أو بآخر على الواقع التعليمي في هذه المدينة.
Abstract EN
This paper attempt to explain the main features of the situation of the official education in Kirkuk during 1810-1914.
This paper concentrates on attempts of reform took place in the OHomani country, precisely that deal with education.
As in the other Iraqi cities, Kirkuk also lacks official school till the 1870.
Due to this case the education was limited on establishing religious schools in addition the that of the other minorities which is discussed in official intermediate and primary school couer the great part of this paper.
Besides to that the paper talked about the difficulties faced establishing this type of schools which affected in many ways the educational situation in this city.
