Abstract EN

The principle of interference in the internal affairs of states is one of the basic principles of public international law.

It is also a logical consequence of the principle of equality in sovereignty between states, by preventing other states from interfering in their internal and external affairs.

From this standpoint, this paper deals with the roots and concept of intervention, the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of states as a limitation on the phenomenon of interference and the legal effects resulting from the intervention and its impact on the state’s sovereignty in general, with the application of this to humanitarian intervention in Somalia and its impact on the sovereignty of the Somali state.

Based on that, the study aims to clarify the concept of interference according to the public international law.

It also aims to clarify the manifestations of interference in the internal affairs of countries, including Somalia, and the consequences thereof.

The study also seeks to present some internal and external political aspects that threaten the sovereignty of the Somali state
