موقف الموزعي من ابن هشام في "مصابيح المغاني في حروف المعاني"

Abstract EN

This research deals with the attitude of Al-Mawzaei towards Ibn Hisham (761 A.H.) in his book titled Masabeeh Al-Maghani which is a book on the meanings of letters arranged according to the alphabetical order.

Al-Mawazei relied on many sources including Mughni Labib ‘an Kutub Ala'areeb by Ibn Hisham (761 AH), and he used most of the material of this book.

Thus, the name of Ibn Hisham was cited in more than eighty quotations while the title of Ibn Hisham’s book Al-Mughni was not cited except in one quotation.

Accordingly, this research aims to examine Al-Mawazi’s attitude towards Ibn Hisham aiming at clarifying his stance on one of the prominent scholars in the meanings of letters and one of those cited in his book.
