Abstract EN

Man is the successive of Allah on His earth.

Almighty Allah said " And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority.

" (al- Baqarah, 30) Being the successive of Almighty Allah on His earth has qualified man to work and be keen on earning money in various fields of life that are made lawful by Allah.

Since work in ancient times meant enslavement, dependency and it may also mean disgrace and dishonor, the prophetic Sunnah has clarified the workers' rights and their duties to preserve the rights and dignity of the worker.

The Sunnah is also keen on providing the worker with a kind of decent life, letting him recognize his duties for the sake of establishing a kind of stable relationship in between the workers and their employers.

Accordingly, justice prevails, and people live in a safe and secure atmosphere.

The researcher has applied the inductive, descriptive and analytical approaches where he extrapolated the textbooks and some interpretations of Hadiths so as to specify the prophetic traditions that dealt with the workers' rights and duties.

Then, he researcher has resumed his descriptions, analysis, exposition and explanation.

Finally, the researcher has highlighted the primacy of prophetic Sunnah in tackling modern issues.
