Abstract EN

This research aims at comparing the phenomenon of physical violence in between the prophetic Sunnah and the social perspective through displaying the social interpretations of what has been preached by the Sunnah.

This comparison intends to show what conforms to the Sunnah and what does not.

The research applies the comparative approach due to the nature of the study.

It also tries to satisfy four requirements; the first one deals with the concept of physical violence in the light the prophetic Sunnah and the social perspective.

Whereas the second investigates the causes of physical violence according to the Sunnah and the social perspective.

As for the third requirement, it focuses on the aftermath of physical violence in both the Sunnah and the social perspective.

Concerning the fourth requirements, it examines the social theories that interpret physical violence in the light of the prophetic Sunnah.

Finally, the conclusion sums up the findings of this research which have proved that the prophetic Sunnah and the social perspective largely agree to the causes and aftermath of physical violence.

They also agree to the methodology of treatment.
