Abstract EN

Clarification is a type of meaning which is indicated by some letters and it is also indicated by some sentences as seen in some chapters of Arabic syntax.

In Arabic، clarification signifies explanation and exposition.

Terminologically، clarification is keen to pinpoint an obscure object using a device، a reference connected with interpretation or what may imply the meaning of interpretation.

With reference to syntactic connotation، clarification is divided into three types: the first is known as verbal clarification which signifies the devices inserted solely to interpret an obscure object، to classify a wholesome content or to specify a general kind.

As for the devices of clarification، there are two categories: letters which are (i، a'n، al- fa'a، etha'a، the added al- ha'a، al- wa'w and al- ya'a as added to an affiliated noun).

The second category includes sentences such as (the explanatory statement، the relative sentence، the sentence that describes an indefinite object).

Regarding the second type of clarification which is identified as formed clarification.

It simply means an interpretation of an obscure object preceded or followed by a resumed noun whose reference has been necessarily removed.

The devices of this type include some letters such as (ela'a، al- ba'a، ala'، fi، al- lam and men).

The third type is known as the clarification which plainly signifies the interpretation of a relevant، an earlier obscure residue or adding a kind of clarification to it.

It often comes with devices which haven't been used for clarification or so، but they unintentionally refer to clarification.

The research at hand is keen on displaying these three types of clarification relying on the Qur'anic discipline which has been revealed in its perfect and loftiest semantic، syntactic، verbal، formative and shape.

The research has followed the statistical then the analytical approach.

Thinking deeply of the benefits of clarification and its syntactic significance in the Holy Qur'an، the researcher has highlighted the use of such devices in the Holy Qur'an.

In addition، he has referred to the syntactic significance of the devices of clarification in some instances quoted from the Holy Qur'an in everywhere following the applied approach.
