Abstract EN

The present study aims at identifying the extent of the phenomenon of internal forced displacement in Yemen, its needs, and possible remedies.

The researchers used the descriptive method: analytical and survey.

The closed interview was also used as a tool to collect data and information from the study sample purposefully and coincidentally.

The sample consisted of (116) displaced male and female adults in five Yemeni governorates.

As a result, the number of internally displaced persons in Yemen is approximately (3,457,590) displaced persons, representing (11.4%) of the Yemeni population.

And the needs of internally displaced persons in Yemen in accordance with Maslow's hierarchy of needs of the study sample were arranged consecutively as follows: physiological needs by (58.3%), self-esteem at (55.9%), security and safety by (53%), and self-realization by (40%), and finally social by (28.8%).

In addition, a number of recommendations and possible remedies were presented to help solve some of the problems related to the displaced.
