Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the level of psychological burnout, job performance and the correlation between them among the teaching staff of Najran University Branches in Sharura.

It also aimed to know the differences in the level of psychological burnout and job performance according to the variables; (gender, academic rank, years of experience).

The sample of the study consisted of (107) teaching staff in Najran University branches in Sharura.

The study relied on the descriptive and analytical approach, and used the Burnout Scale and the Functional Performance Scale designed by the researcher.

The results of the study concluded that psychological burnout among the samples is very low, while job performance is very high.

The study revealed a significant negative correlation between psychological burnout and job performance, and significant differences in psychological burnout based on gender in favor of females, and in job performance in favor of males.

It also revealed significant differences in psychological burnout based on academic rank in favor of (lecturer) rank, and in job performance in favor of (professor) rank.

In addition, the study revealed significant differences in psychological burnout based on years of experience in favor of the period from (5-10 years), and in job performance in favor of (less than 5 years period).
