Abstract EN

Throughout the ages, a number of natural and human disasters have occurred in the Islamic world, these calamities and pandemics have produced a number of books and writings, but despite the differences in these calamities they have been all termed as plague.

The most of these works are missing or are still in manuscript, because the subject of these books is considered by people to be outdated in comparison to what humanity has reached in progress in the modern era.

A group of commentators and jurists wrote about the pandemics, especially the plague, through their readings and interpretations of hadiths of the Prophet.

Some of these scholars called the attention of people and their rulers to the findings of doctors of the age and suggested through their experiences and what was available to them in their time ways to prevent pandemics.

Preachers and writers contributed to the formation of this heritage, so the preachers through their influential preaching, have left their impact on societies in which the pandemics were rampant.

The writings of writers and the poems of the poets were the true records which provide a true an authentic picture of the tragedy and suffering that they and those around them experienced as a result of these deadly pandemics.
