سوسة النخيل الحمراء المعروفة أيضا بسوسة النخيل الهندية هي الآفة الرئيسية لنخيل في النظم البيئية الزراعية المتنوعة في جميع أنحاء العالم.
في عام 2017 دعت منظمة الفاو إلى إعلان إلى الحاجة الملحة لمكافحة هذه الآفة على المستوى الدولي لوقف الانتشار المدمر لسوسة النخيل الحمراء.
و لوجود فجوات و تحديات في برامج المكافحة لحشرة سوسة النخيل الحمراء لاسيما في ما يتعلق بالكشف المبكر و تطوير و تنفيذ تدابير الوقاية و المكافحة.
نتيجة لصعوبة المكافحة الكيميائية و نقص عوامل المكافحة الحيوية ميدانيا و المشاركة الضعيفة للمزارعين في تلك البرامج و التي جعلت من الصعب للغاية مكافحة سوسة النخيل الحمراء و القضاء عليها.
يقدم هذا البحث لمحة عامة عن الغزو العالمي للافة و خيارات الإدارة الحالية و التحديات و الآفاق المستقبلية التي يمكن استخدامها للسيطرة الفعالة على سوسة النخيل الحمراء.
Abstract EN
The red palm weevil, also known as the Indian palm weevil, is a key pest in agricultural ecosystems worldwide.
In 2017, the FAO declared the urgent need to control the pest at the international levels alike, to stop the destructive activity of the red palm weevil.
And because there are gaps in challenges of the control programs.
Especially with regard to the early detection, development and application of prevention and control measures.
The lack of biological control agents in the field and the ineffective participation of farmers in these programs.
Which made it very difficult to control and eradicate the red palm weevil.
This paper provides an overview of global infestation, current management options, challenges and future prospects that could be used for effective RPW control.
