This research deals with the topic of " al-Aqsa Mosque in the era of the Crusades".

In the preface, I dealt with the location of al-Aqsa Mosque, the construction of al-Aqsa Mosque, and the importance of al-Aqsa Mosque among Muslims.

I talked about al-Aqsa Mosque under the Crusader occupation after the massacre carried out by the Crusaders there, which killed Thousands of Muslims, and what al-Aqsa Mosque was subjected to in terms of destruction, sabotage, looting and pillage at the hands of the Crusaders, and when Saladin triumphed over the Crusaders in the Battle of Hattin, and returned Jerusalem to the Muslim's possession, he worked to restore al-Aqsa Mosque to what it was, and remove everything that the Crusaders had caused in it, he arranged for him to perform the sermon and the imamate, and he transferred Nur al-Din Mahmoud pulpit to him, and during the reign of al-Kamil al-Ayyubi a treaty was concluded with the German Emperor Frederick II, and according to this treaty the Emperor took over the city of Jerusalem, and despite the exclusion of
al-Aqsa Mosque from this treaty and his stay in Muslim hands, except that the presence of the Crusaders in Jerusalem made al-Aqsa Mosque as if it was still imprisoned in the hands of the Crusaders.

Al-Nasir Dawood was able to rescue Jerusalem from the hands of the Crusaders, but when the conflict broke out between the Ayyubids, al-Salih Ismail and al-Nasir Dawood agreed on the reconciliation of the Crusades and handed over Jerusalem and al-Aqsa Mosque to them, and it remained in their hands until al-Khwarezmia was able to retrieve Jerusalem from them, and since that time he was unable to A Christian army could approach it until World War I.
