The studies that were concerned with the dictionary and the lexical industries, in the past and in the present, varied greatly, and the studies that focused on studying the dictionary from the perspective of being a reference work in a specific order according to the different ordering methods represented the largest share in the lexical studies, and despite the large number of these studies about the dictionary; The attempt to transfer the dictionary and its studies to the field of literary studies and literary discourse analysis did not get much luck within these lexical studies - compared to studying it from the previous lexical perspective.

Hence, this research came under the title (The Author's Lexicon and Building the Novel, the author Radwa Ashour as a model), dealing with the study of the dictionary not as it is considered a bureau of the Arabic language, but rather as the sum of the words that a person or writer employs in a literary work, which represent his own dictionary, applied.

This is based on one of the pioneering works of the great writer Radwa Ashour, which is the novel (The Granada Trilogy), because the novel occupied a great position in literary work.

The study came in an introduction and two papers, the first of which was titled: The Author's Lexicography, a theoretical study that represented the theoretical side of the study, and the second topic was titled: The Author's Lexicography and its Role in the Coherence of the Novel (the Granada Trio as a model).

He represented the applied study on the novel under study.
