Digital means play a host of roles and have significant contributions: being social and interactive media, they allow users to communicate whenever they want and wherever they are, thus causing the concept of communication between people to change, and fostering community bonds.

Via such media people can also broaden their circle of friends and acquaintances nationally, regionally and internationally and promote cross-cultural interaction through the dissemination of their respective cultures.

This will bring about rapprochement between different cultures and civilizations; dispel relevant uncertainties and eliminate clashes among them.

However, such means are not without their disadvantages: the emergence of cybercrime with its various forms.

In this study we turn the spotlight on regulations of dissemination and promotion via digital means as per UAE Law.

Study defines such crimes; classifies them; identifies their characteristics and demonstrates how UAE Law keeps pace with the said crimes.

With full appreciation for UAE legal efforts, study came up with several opportunities for improvement and repositioning.

It also arrived at several recommendations that hopefully will be taken into consideration.
