Abstract EN

The aim of this research is to identify the role of coordination between municipal councils and other local government’s entities on the level of provided services.

To achieve the goal of this research, two questionnaires were designed: one set for all municipal councils in the kingdom and the other for the selected local government’s officials who are responsible for service provision in the cities of the kingdom.

Both questionnaires were tested for reliability and validity.

The results of this study show that municipal council’s members and officials responsible for municipal works indicate that level of coordination between municipal councils and other local service providers of government entities is moderate.

However, the response of these local service providers of governmental entities to the municipal councils was week.

In addition, the results indicate that the current level of coordination between municipal councils and other local service providers of governmental entities effects is week on the level and quality of provided services.

Finally, this study recommend the following, first: there is a need to increase the level of coordination, Second, the regulations and legislation that support coordination must be set between municipal councils and other local service providers of governmental entities.
