Abstract EN

The study aimed at identifying the degree of estimation of the employees of NGOs in the Gaza governorates in Palestine for the requirements of sustainability of the competitive advantage.

It also aimed at finding out wherever there were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α≤0.05) between the averages of their grades attributed to the variables of sex and scientific qualification.

To achieve this, the researcher adopted the descriptive-analytical approach through the use of a 53-paragraph questionnaire distributed over (5) fields to (91) factors of institutions older than (10 years).

The results showed that the total degree of estimation of the requirements was significant at relative weight (83.64%).

The field of “strategic thinking” ranked first with a relative weight of 86.6% and an extensive degree.

The field of adaptation came last with a relative weight of 80.1% and to a large extent.

There were no statistically-significant differences at the level of significance (α≤0.05) between the average scores of the sample members for the requirements attributed to the variables of sex and scientific qualification.

The study recommended that NGOs should adopt a resource-based strategy and subject their resources to the set of criteria of value, scarcity, tradition, and optimal investment
