Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to investigate the ability of family environment and psychological security to predict electronic violence, determine the nature of the relationship between the three variables and the difference in electronic violence according to the variables of gender, family size and birth order within the family among a 14-16 age group.

To prove this, the researcher designed tools of family environment, psychological security, and electronic violence which were applied on a sample of 342 with equal percentage (50%) for males and females.

The results showed a positive statistically-significant relationship between family environment and psychological security, and a negative statistically-significant relationship between family environment and e- violence.

Both psychological security and family environment have the ability to predict e-violence.

E-violence was more prevalent among males, while there was no statistically significant difference in e-violence observed in relation to the size of the family and the birth order.
