Abstract EN

This study aims at studying the forms of aesthetic image in the artistic works of modern romantic poetry by examining the works of the poet NadimMohamad as a model.

The study is carried out through analysis of the ability of the aesthetic image to express creative self-emotions, together with an exploration of the transformations that the romantic aesthetic image had undergone, namely the psychological and suggestive energies it came to have.

The researcher into Syrian romantic poetry, in general, and the works of the poet Nadim Mohamad, in particular, will realize that the aesthetic image is no less important than it was in classical poetry.

Yet, what is noteworthy in these works is the innovation that characterizes the poetic text, namely the overwhelming emotions permeating the images that reflect the emotional state of the poet.

This study aims at uncovering the aesthetics of the artistic image and its manifestation in the works of the romantic poet Nadim Mohamad.

To achieve this, the study has been divided into an introduction defining the aesthetic image and a practical section making of the works of Nadim Mohamad the focus of analysis through examination of selected examples from his works.
