Abstract EN

The objective of this study is to measure the magnitude of all forms of abuse that Emirati and resident children can be subjected to at home and school.

In addition, the study identifies the perpetrators.

To achieve the above objectives, a cluster sample of both Emirati and resident children were selected from private schools in all seven emirates using questionnaire which is accredited by Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect.

The sample consisted of students of grades 5 to 12.

The study shows that the rate of children who were abused at school was more than the rate of children who wereabused at home.

The study shows that the rate of male children who were abused at school and home was more likely than female children
