Abstract EN

This paper is a description and analysis of the difference of readings of Qur’anic Verses with similar syntactic construction.

The question of the paper is why one reading differs from another in the case of Qur’anic Verse with similar syntactic construction occurring in several places in the Glorious Quran.

This question cannot be answered unless such constructions are viewed in the context of what comes before them.

The paper consists of four sections, each of which deals with one construction exemplifying a syntactic issue with either a single syntactic reading or two.

However, Quranic readings differ on such construction in various instances in the Glorious Quran.

Here lies the significance of this topic, and as the findings of the study show, it is but one aspect of Quranic rhetoric.

The study shows that syntax operates far beyond the level of the sentence to reach to the very connection between the sentence and its context.

The study also replies and corrects some grammarians’ views and opinions on other syntactic views.

It also tries to reflect on problematic syntactic readings.
