Abstract EN

This study aims at identifying the level of institutional governance practice at the Faculty of Educational Sciences at the Hashemite University from the point view of academic staff.

The sample of the study consisted of 36 academics randomly chosen from a total number of 47 faculty members.

A special questionnaire was designed to achieve the objective of the study.

Findings revealed that the level of governance practice was moderate.

The results showed that the field of transparency ranked first with a mean of 2.89 followed by the fields of justice and honesty with a mean of 2.62 and efficiency 2.75, while the last one was the effective participation field with a mean of 2.62.

The results of the study also showed that there is no significant difference due to gender variable, but there is a significant difference due to position title in favour of the administrative academic
