Abstract EN

This research aimed at identifying the relationship between psychological stress and quality of life among male and female teachers of children with autism spectrum disorder.

the participants were (126) teachers (68 males-68 females), (mean age = 37.12).

- both scales of psychological stress and quality of life among male and female teachers of children with autism spectrum disorder (prepared by the researcher) were administered.

results yielded a significant negative relationship between psychological stress and quality of life (a = 0.01).

there were significant differences (a = 0.01) between the mean scores attained by male and female teachers in total score and subscales of psychological stress and quality of life, in favor of the females.

level of quality of life was predicted through level of psychological stress.

there were significant differences in psychological stress not quality of life attributed to age, in favor- of those aged between (38 and (45) years.

there were significant differences in psychological stress and quality of life attributed to years of experience, in favor of those with (5-12) and (13-20) years, respectively.

there were significant differences in psychological stress- not quality of life attributed to educational level, in favor- of those with bachelor degree.
