The current research aimed at identifying the global challenges facing strategic planning at Kuwait University.

The sample of the research consisted of (118) faculty members and leaders at Kuwait University, and the researcher used a questionnaire to identify the global challenges facing strategic planning at Kuwait University, and the descriptive method was used in the research.

The research concluded that there are a range of challenges facing the strategic planning at Kuwait University, for example: (Weak ability of the university employees to participate in strategic planning -Weak desire of the university employees to develop, and improve their abilities in the field of strategic planning- The university employees do not have sufficient experience that enables them to express their opinions in the process of strategic plan modification- The training provided by the university administration to employees in the field of strategic planning is insufficient-The prevalence of centralization in decisions related to strategic planning.
