تطور التجربة الحزبية فى الصومال : 1943-1960

Abstract EN

The study examined the evolution of experience of political parties in Somalia in the period 1943-1969, where it concentrated mainly on southern and northern Somalia, and then a general assessment of this experience.

The researcher used descriptive and historical analytical approach to refer to the past to understand the present and the future.

The study reached several results, including: that political parties emerged as national movements liberation from colonialism and the unification of the parts of Somalia divided under one banner, the national flag and colonialism was able to instill loyal elements in the body of political parties to neutralize them from achieving the ambitious goals.

The study also found that some of the parties that emerged represented as tribal parties based, reflecting certain geographic areas, and failed to contribute to the liberation efforts against the colonizer, but sometimes expressed sympathy with the colonial side, they thought that their interests are realized in the presence of the colonizer.

The author recommended: the formation of the future Somali parties on the national character and work to maintain the unity of the national territory, and envisage the mistakes and non-national practices that have occurred in the political parties in the past, by strictly enforcing issuing new political parties law
