The weakness that affected the joints of the Ottoman Empire, as well as the economic and human capabilities and resources that this empire enjoyed, made it the focus of attention of many countries with economic capabilities, especially those countries that entered the stage of the industrial revolution and which had a surplus in production and sought to obtain resources France has priority in the markets for its products The research deals with the development of the French financial system and the attempts of the French capital to search for foreign investments through active participation in lending to the Ottoman Empire by banks, in which the French had the lion's share.

The research also deals with French industrial projects in the Ottoman Empire as well as French trade with them, then the obstacles that the French faced in achieving a broad influence that exceeds the British and German influences .
