This article sums up the discussion of one of the major issues discussed by linguistics through its timeline of its evolution, which is the main relationship between literary criticism and the humanities.

This is a central issue that has been brandished in minor issues, including: “Criticism and linguistics”, “criticism and psychology”, “criticism and literature”, and “criticism and the concept of science in general”, to tie the bonds between science.

Therefore, the critical study of a literary work aims at reviving this work and preserving its continuity, because creative work represents a message to previous and subsequent worksadopted by the critic to understand the historical literary process, which cannot be realized without passing through all its time stations.
