Abstract EN
This research aimed at developing mathematics curriculum in the light of Egypt's vision of sustainable development (2030) and investigating its effect on developing some of 21st century skills of preparatory stage pupils.
The research depend on descriptive analytical method in its procedures to describe and analyze literature related to different variables, prepare proposed proposal to develop mathematics curriculum, build and judge research tools, interpret and discuss results, in addition to using experimental method and one group experimental design and pre-post tests to measure the effect size of teaching a suggested unit of the developed curriculum on developing some 21st century skills among pupils.
Some results were reached: There was a statistical significant difference at (0.05) level between research groups' mean scores in pre-post administrations of overall thinking skills test and its sub- components (creative thinking skills - critical thinking skills - problem solving skills) each in favor of post administration pupils.
In addition, There was a statistical significant difference at (0.05) level between research groups' mean scores in pre-post administrations of attitude scale towards collaboration (team-work) and interacting with others in favor of post administration pupils.
In the light of these results, some recommendations and suggestions were provided.
Some of them are: holding training courses for people responsible for planning and developing curriculum in the light of educational principle included in Egypt's vision (2030), conducting a study about developing mathematics curriculum for another grades and stages to develop learning outcomes related to state's vision to achieve sustainable development.
