This research is concerned with presenting and studying a rare group of the Rasulid silver dirhams minted in the Omani Dhafár Mint in the seventh century AH, specifically, during the reign of the Rasulid Sultan Al-Muzaffar Shams al-Din Yusuf (647-694 AH/ 1250-1295 AD).
These dirhams confirm and prove what was mentioned in the historical sources regarding the control of the Rasulid Dynasty over Dhafár for a period of time, and therefore minting the Rasulid coins in Dhafár and circulating them.
