تلعب المسكوكات دورا كبيرا في توثيق الأحداث وهى دليل دامغ على إثباتها أو نفيها وفي هذه الدراسة تم الاعتماد على أحد الفئات النقدية المهمة وهى الفلوس لإثبات حقيقة تاريخية لم يوثقها المؤرخون بكامل تفاصيلها وهى ثورة أحد الدعاة و القادة البارزين في الدولة العباسية و أحد مؤسسيها و هو أبو داود خالد بن إبراهيم الذي ثار على التبعية العباسية في عهد الخليفة أبو جعفر المنصور(136-158هــ / 753–775م) و حاول الانشقاق عنه و المبايعة للعلويين ووظف في ذلك فئة نقدية مهمة (الفلوس) و سجل عليها اسمه و شعار الرضا لآل محمد وفي هذه الدراسة تم دراسة ثلاثة أنماط من الفلوس حملت نقوش مهمة تخدم الفكرة التى ضربت من أجلها.

Coins play a considerable role in the documentation of events.
They are compelling evidence on confirming or refuting such events.
The present study examines an important subdivision of currency (i.
e. fulūs) to establish a historical fact that has not been documented in detail by historians, namely the rebellion of Abu Dawud Khalid ibn Ibrahim who was a prominent leader and founder of the Abbasid State. Abu Dawud rebelled against subordination to the Abbasid Dynasty in the period of the Caliph Abu Ja'far al-Mansur (136-158A.

), trying to defect and pledge allegiance to the ʿAlawis.
He used an important subdivision of currency (i.
e.
fulūs) on which he inscribed his name and the slogan of al-ridā to âl Muhammad.
The study investigates three patterns of fulūs that had important inscriptions, which served the idea of their coinage.
